Influence of Ga⁺ milling on the spin waves modes in a Co₂MnSi Heusler magnonic crystal

Ferromagnetic resonance experiment was performed to study the magnonic modes of an antidot lattice nanopatterned in a sputtered Co 2 MnSi Heusler alloy thin film. The crystal prepared with Ga + focused ion beam, and micromagnetic simulations were used explain qualitatively quantitatively complex experimental spin waves spectrum. We demonstrate necessity consider geometrical imperfections modification magnetic parameters induced by nanofabrication process describe evolution frequencies spatial profiles principal 0–300 mT field range. In particular, our model suggests that milling induces drastic decrease (between 80% 90%) bulk parameters. addition, reveal presence diversity localized extended whose are closely related state at equilibrium from very non-collinear configuration up quasi-saturated state.
